Spoon it into tea or warm milk for an instant golden drink, drizzle it over yogurt, or glaze with it โ€” the everyday luxury of the Kozani table.

FAQs

What does it taste like?

Rich, thick Greek honey first โ€” then saffron's unmistakable floral, honeyed warmth rising through it, with a golden-amber depth no plain honey has. Familiar and exotic in the same spoonful.

Does honey expire?

Pure raw honey doesn't spoil โ€” stored properly, it's one of the only foods that lasts virtually indefinitely. Over time it may crystallize or deepen in color; both are natural and harmless. If there's a best-before date on the jar, that's there for labeling โ€” the honey keeps well beyond it.

Is it safe for me and my family?

Our honey is a natural, USDA Organic food with nothing added. As with any new food or herb, if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition, check with your doctor first. As with all honey, it isn't suitable for infants under 12 months.

How do I store it, and why did it crystallize?

Store in a cool, dark place. No fridge, since cold speeds crystallization. Thyme honey is naturally thick and slow-pouring, so a slow drizzle is normal โ€” not a sign it's crystallized. If it does crystallize over time, sit the jar in warm (not hot) water and stir to bring it back to a pourable state. Stored well, pure honey doesn't spoil.
